Technical Issue Impacting AP Psychology Exams on May 16
During the administration of AP Psychology exams on Friday, May 16, the final testing session of this year’s two-week AP Exam administration, some students encountered an issue that prevented them from logging into the College Board’s Bluebook testing application and beginning their exams at the assigned local start time.
The issue was resolved by about 1:45 p.m. EDT; the AP Program extended the start time for the exam to 2 p.m. local time, enabling schools with that flexibility in their schedules to begin the exam.
Students who were unable to take the test should speak to their AP teacher or their school’s AP coordinator regarding make-up testing that will be offered at no cost. Late-testing opportunities begin the week of May 19.
Exams for a majority of AP subjects transitioned to a digital or hybrid digital format this year, and most students have had a successful testing experience, with more than 5 million exams being successfully submitted thus far.
We know how hard students work to prepare for their AP Exams and we regret that their testing period was disrupted.
